It's so cold and dark outside right now that you could be forgiven for thinking we're closer to Christmas than Mothering Sunday. It was, however, Mother's day yesterday in the UK. Regular readers will know that my only children are of the hairy canine variety.
I still got a pressy from them, a lovely new cook book.
I'm trying to make the majority of my cards this year, so I made three Mother's day cards.
One for my Mum.
One for my Grandma.
One for my Mother-in-law
I was quite pleased with my efforts, and so were the recipients. I made Sunday dinner for my mum, and then finished off homemade Mother's day by making a banana cream pie from my new book.

Awww, look at them eyeing up your crumpets! xxxx
Well trained kids you have there!
I managed to make one card, it's not that I don't like my MIL but I went blind and arthritic after the first cross stitch I did!

Tee hee the fur babies look so cute looking at the crumpets.

That banana cream pie looks delicious. Your homemade mother's day cards are lovely. No wonder they were well received.
Nice that you got a gift from the fur babies! Your cards turned out very nicely, as did your pie. Yum. Mother's Day here isn't until May but I am not expecting anything from Cat ... Maybe I should drop a hint or two!
Now if that had been my first house bunny there with those crumpets, she'd have swiped one in a flash!
Did those doggies snaffle the crumpets?
Lovely cards, I must make more effort and do my own, greetings cards are shockingly expensive. xxxx
I love your dogs, they look like teddy bears! I bet your 3 mums were pleased with their cards. I love the look of that book too!
I love your furry babies : )
Your cards are gorgeous and as for that banana pie...
I'm so hungry now!
No mother´s day here until May, I think; and not a grand event either.
I shall look for them
have a lovely weekend, dear Louise.
