Prudence is an 11 year old Airedale terrier, the king of terriers.
She's a lovely old girl. She's protective of her people, and loves her walks. She has such a strong hunting instinct though that we can't let her off the lead or she would be gone for hours looking for rabbits.
In the summer she loves nothing more than trying to beg crisps from people in pub gardens, she's terribly greedy.
Recently she had to have an operation to remove a non-cancerous lump. This is why she's been wearing t-shirts, to stop Alfie from licking the wound. Getting an Airedale into a t-shirt is no mean feat.
So, next time you're wondering why my blog is named as it is, now you know.
(This weekend I've read 2 different facebook updates from people who's dogs have been attacked. If you have fur babies please be aware, not everyone has a dog as a loved member of their family. There's a lot of irresponsible dog owners out there too, so be careful and stay safe)

Prudence is a beauty, love all the photos. When we were up in the park earlier there were loads of dachshunds + owners about, some sort of meet-up I think. Quite a few of the wee dogs were wearing raincoats and today they certainly needed them. Like your Prudence and Alfie, those dogs are loved and kept by responsible owners but unfortunately I have weekly encounters with irresponsible dog owners too, people that have no clue how to raise a dog & keep them for all the wrong reasons, it's very sad...xXx

Terriers are real buggers for running away! She's such a sweetie, I bet it was a struggle getting her into any dog clothing! She's just so cute but I'm sure she acts like a princess too xx

I always liked the idea of having one of the sight hounds but am ever fearful that they would get away from me and be gone chasing something.
Oh, she is absolutely adorable - I love Airdale's: they just seem to have so much character! I love the photo in the t-shirt, too: hope she's feeling better after her operation!
